Tom Morello Touring In Support Of "The Fabled City"
September 30, 2008 by Scott
Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine is set to release his anticipated solo album, The Fabled City, on September 30th. The 11-song album, produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), is the first release to bear the political and social activist’s birth name and features appearances by System of a Down’s Serj Tankian and Shooter Jennings. With more complex electric arrangements than displayed on the sparse solo debut One Man Revolution,The Fabled City is the synthesis of his groundbreaking work as an innovative rock guitarist and revolutionary acoustic troubadour. For the first time, this album bridges the gap between Tom Morello, the acoustic protest singer and Tom Morello, the guitar legend.

Robert Plant Shoots Down Led Zeppelin Tour Rumors
September 29, 2008 by Scott
Rumors were flying all over the place last week that British rock legends, Led Zeppelin were back with front-man Robert Plant and planning a world tour. I was skeptical from the get-go. Seriously, how many times in the past year have we heard this and how many times has Robert Plant set the record straight. Well let’s just add one more time to that list. Plant will be finishing up his tour with Alison Krauss on October 5th and an official statement left at Robertplant.com reads as follows:
After those dates, Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets.
Pro-Shot Footage Of Warrant With Robert Mason
September 28, 2008 by Scott
Here is a pro-shot video of new Warrant front-man, Robert Mason performing with the band in a compiled highlight video. If reported over at Metal Martyr that Jani Lane had been ousted by the other 4 for the better of the band. His performances were inconsistent and the band wanted to put on the best possible Warrant show for the fans that paid the money to watch them. Unfortunately Jani could not provide that due to his own demons.
Enter Robert Mason. Warrant guitarist Joey Allen was interviewed by Q104.3 FM’s Eddie Trunk. When Trunk asked “Why not go back to Jaime St. James [BLACK 'N BLUE singer who fronted WARRANT before Jani Lane returned to the band] ?” , Allen replied: “We did the Jaime St. James thing for quite some time, we did a record, he’s a dear friend, he’s the nicest guy in rock, but we just really, really wanna get away from… What’s the best way to put it? We just need a fresh start. Really, what we’re trying to pattern ourselves after is to go out there and sound killer every night, have a vocalist that can hit the notes that people wanna hear, and that’s Robert Mason.”.
You can read more of that interview here.
