Candlebox "Miss You" Video
December 15, 2008 by Scott
Coming off of the Into The Sun album from earlier this year is Candlebox’s Miss You Video. *”The song was written about Kevin Martin’s late father who was in the armed forces in WW2 and the video is about missing loved ones, especially those serving our country.”* The video is all about missing the ones you love and is also a tribute to the U.S. Armed forces and features pictures and video submitted by military families. It’s a very touching video and song.
As a military vet from 1994 to 2005 I saw a lot of people come and go on deployments. It’s never easy for anyone to deploy, knowing that there is a great chance that they might not come back. I saw a lot of people go and knew a few that didn’t make it back. Fortunately for myself and my family I never got deployed to a Iraq or Afghanistan, but so many others did. Some have been to both Iraq and Afghanistan two or three times since 2001. You don’t have to support the war, but please support our troops and their families.

Hi,
I just wanted to clarify an error… The song is actually about Kevin’s father. The part he wrote about “the rain falling cold outside” was about the exact time, Kevin later found out, when his father passed away while Kevin was singing at a concert.
I agree… It’s a GREAT song.
Thanks Mellissa. I misread some info I got from the Silent Majority record label about the song. I’ll fix it.
