Warrant: They Came From Hollywood DVD Out Today
November 11, 2008 by Scott
Ahh…Warrant. Warrant, Warrant, Warrant. Where the hell would we be without….Warrant? Honestly I don’t know. Never liked them. But there are still fans out there that love this band, with or without Janie Lane. These days I think they are better off without, due to Janie’s issues. But we all have issues, now don’t we?
Today Cleopatra Records has released, Warrant: They Came From Hollywood. A dvd that spans the band from 1984 to 2008. Packed with rare and live footage from Japan, Italy and the United States, this DVD might just have everything you need to feed your craving for more Cherry Pie. Track list is after the fold and you can order your copy at Cleopatra Records. But hurry, they’re selling really, really fast. Well probably not that fast.

Sammy Hagar Cosmic Universal Fashion Video
October 27, 2008 by Scott
Here is the first single and title track from Sammy Hagar’s upcoming November 18th release, Cosmic Universal Fashion on Loud & Proud/ Roadrunner Records. You know Sammy’s history. I shouldn’t have to feed you Sammy’s resume of countless hits and albums sold. If you don’t know the name by now, then you have been in the dark for way too long.
The title track and first single, “Cosmic Universal Fashion,” was written in an online collaboration between Hagar and a young Iraqi band in Baghdad, with the music video produced in the same spirit as the classic Van Halen video for “Right Now.” The album also features a rousing cover of the Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party).”
Sammy also worked with other well known musicians on this album such as ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, fellow Van Halen Alumni Michael Anthony, The Cult’s Billy Duffy, Guns N’ Roses Matt Sorum and Journey’s Neal Schon. On another note, Sammy also has his own brand of Tequila called Cabo Wabo and if you like a good, smooth tequila then you should really give it a try. Video is after the fold…

AC/DC: Black Ice | Release And Review
October 21, 2008 by Scott
So today marks the day. AC/DC has officially released Black Ice through Columbia Records exclusively through Wal Mart and Sam’s Club. Eight years since their last release and months of hype, press and promotion for Black Ice has created such a buzz around these hard rock veterans that it has even re-ignited album sales of their back catalog in record sales and chart positions in the home land of Australia. It has even re-established my fan-hood for AC/DC, which I have long been out of contact with. I still don’t agree with their view of digital media, but I understand.
