Be Careful, You Might Catch "The Clown Flu"
Just to piss off more people that hate FIFI LaRue for whatever reasons, here are some pics of the Gothic Killer Clown during filming of the upcoming documentary called “La La Land”, about the Hollywood movie and music scene. Fifi Larue and band are also working on their next album with a title of “The Clown Flu“, due out this fall.
Oh, and Fifi? I just thought of something for the future! A bubble helmet like an old-school astronaut wears. And then you could be the Gothic Killer Clown…From Outer Space! Sort of like evolving, ya know?

May 20, 2009 by Scott
Saliva released Cinco Diablo back late last year and this is their new “single” How Could You. Also in the works is a reality show (As if we really needed another one). The show will follow them out on the touring circuit and show viewers another side of the band. A pilot has been shot but here are no further details at this time. Expect Saliva to make an announcement in the next few months. They began filming it back during the recording of the album. No other details are available on that but an announcement will surely come soon. Until then, enjoy the video.

Great White’s Jack Russell: "There’s always someone out there that blames me because I’m the face of Great White,” Russell said. “And I’m OK with that."
May 6, 2009 by Scott
Six years after the fatal fire at The Station Nightclub in Rhode Island and Great White frontman Jack Russell is still blamed for the tragedy of that night. The fire, which was caused by pyrotechnics in the small venue, claimed the lives of 100 people and injuring 230 others. I, like many others don’t think they should have been using pyrotechnics in such a small venue, nor do I really think at that point in the bands career, did they need pyro. That’s all beside the point.
Jack still has issues dealing with that and family members of the dead and/or injured constantly criticize him and some want more money. Money is not going to bring anyone back, however if people are still struggling with hospital bills, then perhaps that could help.
Would Every Former Member Of Guns N’ Roses Please Shut The F*** Up Already!
May 4, 2009 by Scott
I’m tired of saying it and I’m tired of hearing it. Axl Rose owns the name “Guns N’ Roses“. He can tour, and write under that name as long as he owns it. Everyone knows that I’m not an Axl sympathizer but Jesus Christ I’m tired of hearing former members bitch about him.
I said awhile back that Chinese Democracy doesn’t really sound like a Guns N Roses record. It just doesn’t, but the fact remains that he owns the name. What get’s me is the former members of G N’ R bitching about him touring under the name.
Sammy Hagar: EVH Is Crap Compared To Satch
May 1, 2009 by Scott
Well, ok, that’s not what he said. This is what he actually said in a phone interview with Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles.
“I’ve made this statement a million times - some people don’t like it, some people do - but Joe is the best guitarist I have ever played with,
It’s the man’s opinion and if people don’t like it them piss on ‘em. Most would argue that Eddie Van Halen is a better player, but how do you really compare the two? Both are great, both are legends, but everyone always wants to pull out the “Eruption card” without even hearing The Satch’s solo albums.
It could be quite a one sided debate if they were really compared in depth. I hear that you can hear a lot of Joe Satriani’s work on Coldplay albums these days.

Daughtry To Debut New Single On American Idol
May 1, 2009 by Scott
Chris Daughtry is set to debut his new single No Surprises on American Idol on May 6th. No Surprises is from the upcoming album due out on July 14th. Here is a bit of the press release.
“American Idol fans have been so loyal to this band, we wanted to give them the first listen to our new single,” says singer Chris Daughtry.
Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely recorded the new album’s 10-plus songs in Los Angeles. Boasting a more gritty sound, the new album features a band sharpened by two years on the road, where they’ve graduated from clubs and theaters to opening arenas for Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
The new album follows the runaway success of Daughtry’s 2006 debut, which scored three #1 songs and was the biggest-selling artist release for two years running. The accolades garnered by Daughtry include multiple wins at the American Music Awards, the World Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.

Aerosmith Contemplating Playing Toys In The Attic In It’s Entirety Live
April 23, 2009 by Scott
A lot of bands are looking to bring something different to their live shows. Lately a lot of bands are planning on playing the entire track list of one of their classic albums, live. I don’t know if it’s to build hype and sell tickets or just to keep things kind of interesting. Whatever the reasoning behind it, I love it and think it’s a great idea. Metal icons Slayer did it with Reign In Blood as well as NWOBHM pioneers, Judas Priest are planning on doing it with British Steel. Mastodon are playing their new album Crack The Skye in it’s entirety, which is an amazing album that should surely be a classic 20 years from now. Hell, it’s already a classic in my opinion.
The latest band to propose the idea is Aerosmith with their 1975 classic album, Toys In The Attic. No solid details have been released or even talked about really. According to Gibson.com guitarist Joe Perry mentioned to VH1 radio’s Dave Basner, that he’d love to play the album in it’s entirety on their upcoming tour with ZZ Top. Tyler still has the pipes and I would love to see that happen. Toys In The Attic has gone platinum 8 times since it’s release 34 years ago.
Seether Cover Wham! Careless Whispers
I heard Seether’s Cover of Wham’s Careless Whispers a few weeks ago and then was reminded again about it by Musicgoat.com. I heard it again on the radio today and I don’t feel ashamed at all when I sing along to…Seether’s version. I probably heard this a thousand times coming from my sister’s room in the early 80’s. Seether make it, well, sound like Seether covering Aha. Is it better than the original? Well, I can’t really say that I liked the original, but this one works for me. This isn;t the best quality sound but it will give you the gist of it. You can find this single on iTunes and such. Enjoy.
Endless Hallway Album Stream And Tour Dates
April 22, 2009 by Scott
Endless Hallway are streaming their new album Autonomy Games on Rapsody right now. Endless Hallway are currently on tour and will be on tour with Vast, starting on May 15th. Your dates after the fold.
I had a chance to check out Endless Hallway last week. Unfortunately I showed up way too early and couldn’t sit through the first three bands and left after the second song of the second band. I don’t remember the name of the band but all I could think of was the line from Sublime’s song Garden Grove, where he’s talking about why his “Soul is unsound” and says “Sittin’ Through a Shitty Band,”. I just couldn’t stick around and I might have missed a good show, considering that I’m not familiar with these guys so I can really say anything negative about them. Here are the tour dates.
