The Ramones DO NOT Support McCain/Palin

Mickey Leigh, the brother of the late Jeffery Ross Hymann, better known as “Joey Ramone” has issued the following statement concerning Linda Cummings (wife of the late Johnny Ramone) using the name “Ramones” while aiding the McCain/ Palin presidential campaign.
“It has been brought to my attention that Linda Cummings, using the name “Ramone,” has recently been in the media joining with the Palin family and the McCains to attempt to aid their campaign for the Presidency. As a President of Ramones Productions, and brother of Joey Ramone, I just want it to be clear that Linda Cummings does not …read more

Everclear: Jesus Was A Democrat

Here is a new single from Portland Oregon’s Everclear. Jesus Was A Democrat. Was he…or would he be? Everclear Thinks so.
Art Alexakis of Everclear has never been subtle about his political leanings and activism. The outspoken Democrat has testified before Congress, worked the campaign trail and even represented his district’s interest as a delegate at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. In a time of fear of what another 4 years of GOP reign could mean for the country, Alexakis has decided to make a statement —- “Jesus Was A Democrat.”

The Foo Fighters issued a statment early yesterday about John McCain’s use of the song “My Hero” and their discontent for his use of it. This isn’t the first time that this has become an issue. I heard about something similar to this awhile back and my wife and I got into it about it. My argument wasn’t so much that the politician was using it without permission but that some artists don’t want themselves or songs associated with politicians and they have the right to ask them…or TELL them not to use it. The Foo …read more

Bon Jovi Raises $3 Mil For Obama

Jon Bon Jovi held a private fund raising event at his home in Middleton, New Jersey in support or Presidential Candidate Barrack Obama. Nearly 100 people paid $30,000 to attend the event and Obama even made an appearance at the event stating:
“We’re not going to be bullied, we’re not going to be smeared,”

Bon Jovi is only one of a few rather big named musicians such as Bob Dylan, that has showed his support for the Presidential hopeful.

Sammy Hagar Is Cool With McCain Using "Right Now"

Sammy Hagar Is Cool With McCain Using "Right Now"

Unlike the rest of the Van Halen camp, former VH front-man, Sammy Hagar said that he’s cool with either candidate using the song because the lyrics fit the times. I used to dislike Hagar as a singer for VH and not do much as a person, but lately, perhaps I’m opening another part of my mind and realizing that Hagar was a great VH front-man, with some really memorable songs during his time in the band and seems like a pretty good dude.
When I wrote the lyrics to ‘Right Now’, I intended them to inspire people to not sit around …read more

The Nuge’ On Glenn Beck This Friday

Glenn Beck…what can I say about this dude? He’s not a rock star…but he’s a thinker. I’m tired of hearing the damn CNN commercials where he goes through his whole thing about being a thinker. Think about this, Glenn: You may be a thinker and have some good ideas…but I THINK you’re an ass! Acting like you’re some super smart, know all, perfect human being. Screw you!
Oh…and Ted Nugent will be on his show this Friday airing at 7:00 pm, 9 pm and Midnight EST. Find Out More.

Bob Dylan Speaks Out In Support Of Obama

I think this was a given. With his history in politics and music, Bob Dylan spoke in support of Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. In a recent interview with the London Times, when asked for his take on the election race Dylan said this:
“Right now America is in a state of upheaval,” Dylan said. “Poverty is demoralising. You can’t expect people to have the virtue of purity when they are poor. But we’ve got this guy out there now who is redefining the nature of politics from the ground up…Barack Obama. He’s redefining what a politician is, so we’ll have …read more
