From the Vault: Pearl Jam Performs ‘Even Flow’ Live
January 11, 2010 by Brittany
The 90’s was definitely a great time for rock and Pearl Jam definitely sealed the deal. They kick started a style of rock that would be emulated over the next 20 years. One could say that Nickleback has definitely taken some notes from Eddie Vedder. With that said nothing could ever beat the real thing. This is one band that will stand the test of time and will be recognized as one of the best rock bands.
One of Pearl Jam’s best songs is ‘Even Flow‘. When it’s played in a bar or comes on the radio everyone knows this track …read more

The Honey Brothers — Hot or Not??
January 6, 2010 by Brittany
In the past few years there have been several bands popping up that have members who are actors. There isn’t necessarily anything wrong with it but sometimes having an actor (who is more famous then the band itself) can greatly effect that band’s street cred. For example, The Honey Brothers debuts ‘Entourage’ front man Adrien Grenier as drummer and vocalist. At first thought I felt that Adrien was too pretty to be in a band and that it couldn’t be any good. Then after a few songs I was hooked. These guys are fun! Something that is definitely lacking in …read more
From the Vault: Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’
January 4, 2010 by Brittany
With the past decade behind us many of us are wondering where the time went. It’s almost hard to believe however the the oo’s (although full of great and emerging rock talent) can’t even come close to the music of the 90’s. It seems that since Nirvana and Kurt Cobain’s sudden death bands have continued to try and emulate their sound or simply keep them alive by covering their songs.

The Best Rock Classic Christmas Song Featuring Sting, Phil Collins, Etc.
December 22, 2009 by Brittany
This video should definitely bring back some memories! Remember Band Aid? That charity group from the 80’s made up of British and Irish musicians such as Sting, Phil Collins, and Bono, just to name a few, who got together to sing ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ in an attempt to raise funds and awareness of world famine. To their own surprise the song became the number one Holiday song. To this day it’s a classic that many look forward to catching on TV each year.
Happy Holidays Everyone!
