Converse 100th Anniversary Edition Grateful Dead All Stars
October 27, 2008 by Scott
I introduced Converse 100 Anniversary Edition Grateful Dead Skull And Roses hi top Chuck Taylors. A cool looking sneaker with both a history and a historic band feature. Converse sent me a complimentary pair of the Grateful Dead All Stars, but neither of the one I featured. I saw this pair on a different website and I really liked them. I had no idea that this was the pair they were going to send to me, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived.
First you can not go wrong with the classic black canvas on white rubber. From a distance you would never even know they where a special edition. The inner-ankle All Star logo is still the same but on the outer ankle is the classic Grateful Dead psychedelic skull logo. The inside wall of canvas is a split blue and red, blending in to the insole with the lightning bolt down the center. Like I said before. I’m not a huge Grateful Dead fan. I only really like a good handful of their songs, but these are cool shoes and you can’t deny the grateful Dead’s legacy. If you are a Grateful Dead fan, than these were made just for you…you and the millions of Dead-Heads out there.
Now as far as the fit and feel goes, these are Converse All Stars we’re talking about here. They feel like a sock with a sole. A nice comfortable fit that keeps your feet cool and vented with the classic arch-vents. Stylish and comfortable. You can’t ask for much more than that.
