In an interview with Rollingstone Magazine, Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, who was aparently friends with Jimi Hendrix (Something most people to include myself, had no knowledge of) say that Jimi was killed by the people he surrounded himself with and that they didn’t take care of him as they should have.

“Hendrix was just a sweet guy — to an extent, he was murdered by the people around him, because they didn’t take care of him.

“They just didn’t watch his back,” he said.

In 1970 Henrix’ lifeless body was found in London. It has been long suspected that he died from an overdose of sleeping pills and alcohol, but it has never been truly explained. All we can do now is remember Jimi for what he was and always will be. A person true to himself and the music he played…and lastly, but certainly not least, a brilliant guitar played and performer.

  1. Douglas Karr says:

I met a security consultant who made mention that he saw Hendrix do 2 syringes of heroin in the neck before a concert – he wasn’t surprised that he overdosed. Stars continue to surround themselves with people who don’t look out for them. Is it surprising?

  2. Scott says:

It’s a shame. More times than not, it’s the people that were around him that were doing it as well and feeding his addiction as it is with most celebrities that O.D.. It’s quite a shame.

  3. And almost 40 years later nothing has changed.

    BTW, Lemmy is god.
