Stupid Auction Of The Day: MotleyCrue.Com’s Old Backup Server

January 2, 2009 by Scott

Motley server Here you will find a link to an auction on eBay for an obsolete back up server that was used on Motley Crue’s website for 3 years from 2002 until 2005. They thought it was old enough to replace and then three or four years later try to sell by letting people know it was part of the bands website. Does it come with some Motley cat5 cables too???

This thing only has 1.25 gig of ram and 300 gig Hard Drive…most laptops have more than that these days. That was a pretty good deal back in 2002, but today is far too obsolete to actually use.

Seriously, this may still be a usable piece of computer hardware, but it ranks right up there with Vinnie Paul Abbott’s (Pantera, Damageplan, Hell Yeah!) autographed over, a Metallica autographed sewing machine and Dave Mustaine’s (Megadeth) bathrobe. Anything someone can relate to a celebrity or rockstar get’s auctioned off and sadly…some schmuck always buys it.

  1. Roberta says:

I wouldn’t trust these guys so much, either. I checked their history and it looks like they’ve sold a couple of used, stained shirts….eww.

  2. Scott says:

I don’t even want to know what it was stained with…

  3. I bet it had less viruses than Crue themselves.
