Billboard.com reports that multi-platinum rock band Daughtry are releasing a reissue of their enormously popular self-titled debut on Saturday, September 9. This time around, Daughtry will feature a cover of Foreigner’s hit “Feels Like the First Time” and acoustic versions of Daughtry’s own “Home,” “Feels Like Tonight,” “What About Now,” and “It’s Not Over.” The original disc, which hit stores in November ’06, has sold a staggering 4.2 million copies in the United States.

Cavallo, best known for his work with the legendary pop-punk band Green Day, has also produced records for superstar artists such as Kid Rock, Eric Clapton, My Chemical Romance, Goo Goo Dolls, and is working with the Dave Matthews Band on an upcoming release.

American Idol winner David cook has been busy on the road with the American Idol Live! tour, but has also been busy working on his new album.
David Cook says he’s making good progress on his debut album. “I think we’ve for sure got seven songs we’re tracking,” Cook tells Billboard.com. “We’re gonna try to get to around 20 I think, and work it out from there.”Cook’s album, which he hopes to release in November via 19 Recordings/Arista, is being helmed by Rob Cavallo in Los Angeles.
