The Foo Fighters issued a statment early yesterday about John McCain’s use of the song “My Hero” and their discontent for his use of it. This isn’t the first time that this has become an issue. I heard about something similar to this awhile back and my wife and I got into it about it. My argument wasn’t so much that the politician was using it without permission but that some artists don’t want themselves or songs associated with politicians and they have the right to ask them…or TELL them not to use it. Bob Dylan Speaks Out In Support Of Obama
I think this was a given. With his history in politics and music, Bob Dylan spoke in support of Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. In a recent interview with the London Times,when asked for his take on the election race Dylan said this:
