Crue Fest Groper Charged

September 12, 2008 by Scott

cruefest_logo_web You know those assholes that grab women at concerts, sometimes groping female crowd-surfers? There are always reports of this at large concert events. Crue Fest not excluded. This guy had no shame and went straight for his goal without event remotely trying to be inconspicuous about it. This happened at the Crue Fest in West Valley Utah. The Salt lake Tribune reported:

The man allegedly put his hands up the women’s shirts from behind and grabbed their breasts.

He also allegedly put his hands up one of the women’s shorts. That woman and her husband confronted the man and punched him in the face, leaving bruises, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

If he’s found guilty I hope he registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life. I don’t care where you are or what’s hanging out in plain open sight. You don touch someone in that way without it being consensual.

Liquor Ban At Crue Fest

August 28, 2008 by Scott

cruefest_logo_web If you’re heading out to Toronto’s Molsen Amphitheater tonight (If you are, you’re running really late) to check out Crue Fest, you better get all Liquored up before you go. There will be no liquor served tonight at Cruefest reports the Toronto Sun. Does this ban include beer? You bet it does. Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission suspended the Liquor license for the event and word has it that this normally happens when teens are allowed to attend these shows.

So ladies, when you flash Tommy’s “Titty Cam” you can’t use the excuse that you were drunk. That is unless you get really trashed and don’t sober up before Motley Crue comes on. Make Daddy proud!

Either way…some of them were sold out or within a 1000 from capacity and other were barely half capacity.

BuckCherry ‘Black Butterfly’

August 6, 2008 by Scott

Buck Cherry Black Butterfly Buckcherry began writing for BLACK BUTTERFLY last November before hitting the studio in the spring. “That’s coming off 25 months of non-stop touring,” Nelson notes. “Nobody was really taking off on vacation. We got right back to work.”

The process, Todd says, was much the same as on 15. “I’ll just come in with a vocal melody and we’ll build a song that way… Keith’ll put his magic on it, and Jimmy or Stevie will add their input as well, and we hash it together in a room,” he explains. “We just tried not to overthink it. The challenge is to not get all caught up in ‘Are they hits? Are they good enough? Is it gonna be great?’ We just finish the songs and start tearing them apart once we have a body of work that we can look at.”

Trapt: Only Through The Pain Review

July 6, 2008 by Scott

Trapt signed to Nikki Sixx’s record label Eleven Seven Music not too long ago and they are set to release their first record through the label titled Only Through The Pain on August 5th

The modern rock movement of today leaves a lot to be desired by the people that grew up with the bands that a lot of people call Classic Rock these days. I mean, let’s face it, with the exception of a few bands out there, the scene is more pop/rock and radio friendly bands and songs. However, this means in no way that the pop/rock bands that are carrying that torch are undesirable by the rest of the rock fans. It just means that it’s a lot different and in order to enjoy the modern rock bands you just have to look past your own snotty sort of ego and just enjoy the rock. Although metal is more my thing, I can not deny a catchy beat or riff. It’s impossible. If a guitar riff, drum beat, or chorus line is really good you can’t deny the truth or deny yourself the enjoyment of music.
