Guitar Hero: Van Halen Is A Go?
April 1, 2009 by Scott
Joystiq.com has reasons to believe that Activision is planning a Guitar Hero: Van Halen. I’m not a big enough Van Halen fan to want to run out and buy it the first day it comes out, but I could bet that it would be a fun game. Guitar Hero: Metallica was released yesterday and I have yet to play it. Might save that for my son’s birthday coming up.
Joystiq has been informed that Activision’s next artist-oriented Guitar Hero release will be based around Van Halen. According to Joystiq’s source, the game is set to arrive sometime after Guitar Hero: …read more
Van Halen The Latest Rumored Guitar Heroes
March 9, 2009 by Scott
Aerosmith pretty much started the band based Guitar Hero line and the latest band rumored to get an upcoming release on the game is Van Halen. Deservingly I guess, Eddie Van Halen is a guitar hero. How many rock and metal guitar players has he influenced over the years. While his playing and style may be slightly dated compared to some of the guitar players out there today, he’s still an amazing talent. Besides, I don’t like to compare guitar virtuosos of yesterday to players of today. A lot of guitar players these days play for speed more than …read more
Gene Simmons Game Console Axe
Of course it wouldn’t be long before Gene Simmons dipped his hand in to the Guitar Hero/ Rock Band market. Honestly though, this is a pretty cool guitar for the guitar gamer and KISS fan. This isn’t priced ridiculously high and is about the same price as any wireless Guitar at $79.99. You can check out a much better picture and check out the specs of it here and buy one here. Unfortunately it’s not available for Xbox 360 yet.

Slash Guitar Hero Three Action Figure
October 7, 2008 by Scott
Via PRNewswire:
McFarlane Toys announces plans to produce a “SLASH” action figure based on his in-game character from Activision’s hit videogame, Guitar Hero(R) III: Legends of Rock. The action figure is expected to hit mass retailers in February 2009.
Slash, one of the most iconic guitarists of all time, lead guitarist for the acclaimed hard rock act Velvet Revolver and a former member of Guns ‘N’ Roses, will be the newest Guitar Hero action figure.
I don’t know why they are calling it an action figure as opposed to a “Figurine” or maybe a “statuette”. Seriously, it’s not the people that …read more
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. A ‘Uge Success
September 11, 2008 by Scott
When I lived up in near Watertown NY there was a car franchise with this heavy Italian dude that owned it called Fucillo Auto. Everywhere you would go you would hear the stupid commercials on T.V. and the radio and his tag line was “It’s Gonna Be ‘Uge”. Every damn sale was gonna be ‘Uge. So then I move to NC and now I have to put up with Marc Jacobson and his stupid dog. Enough of my griping.
Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3 and Rock The 80’s have been a huge success as well as Rock Band, so it …read more
Kiss Capitalize On Guitar Hero
July 21, 2008 by Scott
Surprised, Right? Riiiiight. As if we didn’t see this coming light years away. Kiss are capitalizing just a little more on Guitar Hero and probably Rock Band in the future. I’m actually surprised it took them this long. There was an actual full scale guitar with KISS on it, but I don’t know if it was ever produced or available to the public. If they really wanted to get in on it good they would create Gene’s Battle Axe bass and maybe Paul’s Ibanez Iceman guitars for Guitar Hero. Sure there are decals and lay-overs with Kiss, Ozzy and Motley …read more
