The two hour documentary “Johnny Cash’s America” airs tonight on the Biography Channel.

The documentary explores the prominent themes of Cash’s life including love of the land, freedom, justice, family, faith and redemption through exclusive interviews, photos and unreleased music and footage. Daily Dose 6/7 Johnny Cash – Hurt

Johnny Cash was a great artist. He covered many great songs and put his own twist into songs done by Rock artists such as U2, Beck, Tom Petty, Danzig, Depeche Mode and here, Nine Inch Nails.
 

 
Reznor was flattered when asked if Cash could use this song and was also a bit hesitant. He didn’t want it to be gimmicky. After viewing the video, this is what he said:
