Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock had quite a successful run last year and Kid Rock’s Rock And Roll Jesus continues to sell like crazy. 74 weeks on the Billboard 200 and still holding strong in the top 50 at #33. What the hell does Kid Rock do that prevents people from downloading his music for free? Probably nothing. Imagine what the sales of this album would be if there wasn’t such a thing P2P file sharing and torrents. Living in the south I see a lot of rednecks that think they are rappers, but somehow Kid Rock get’s away with it and actually does it well. Whether you like his music or no, Kid Rock is a great musician and I hear he puts on a great show.

Lynyrd Skynyd co-founder and guitarist Gary Rossington got in to a traffic accident in his hometown of Milton Georgia. Police responding to the accident noticed that Rossington obviously smelled of alcohol, could not stand well and his speech was slurred. They wanted to conduct a field sobriety test on him but Rossington told the police that he was drunk and decline the field sobriety test but complied to a breathalyzer test and was over the legal limit of .08 BAC. At least he didn’t try to cover the fact that he was drunk and humiliate himself by completely failing a field sobriety test as most do. He then said “Take me drunk ociffer, I’m home.” (Not really, but I always liked that joke.)

Rossington was charged with two counts of DUI and a traffic violation.
