Nikki Sixx Not Sore Over Grammy Loss
February 11, 2009 by Scott
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx isn’t sore over losing a Grammy to The Mars Volta. He even says they are one of his favorite bands. Not one of my favorite, but that’s not here, nor there.
“We were up for our third Grammy this last week and didn’t win again (ha ha), but I have to say that THE MARS VOLTA, who did win, is one of my fave bands and they do deserve it, 100%, so congrats from me to them.”
I don’t think any rock or metal artist writes a song with the thought, “Yeah, this is going to win …read more
Sixx: A.M. The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack Review
December 1, 2008 by Scott
Forget everything I have ever said about Sixx A.M. and The Heroin Diaries. Forgot all the trash I talked in the past about how this is a shitty album and how I looked at this book in a negative way. I can be a cynical douche at times. I still don’t care for a lot of things Nikki Sixx says but I’ve started looking at both of these things in a different way as of late.
Upon listening and reading through the lyrics of Sixx: A.M. I actually see this for what it is. It’s therapy for Nikki Sixx. An …read more
Give Me Your Dirt Contest: Win Motley Crue’s "The Dirt" Autobiography
October 9, 2008 by Scott
I’ve been given the opportunity to give away a copy of the Motley Crue Autobiography “The Dirt“. Here is how the book is described from Amazon.com:
The most influential, enduring, and iconic metal band of the 1980’s reveals everything a tell-all of epic proportions.
This unbelievable autobiography explores the rebellious lives of four of the most influential icons in American rock history.
Motley Crue was the voice of a barely pubescent Generation X, the anointed high priests of backward-masking pentagram rock, pioneers of Hollywood glam, and the creators of MTV’s first “power ballad.” Their sex lives claimed celebrities …read more

You know how a lot of things are Labeled “Rock” these days? A lot of people don’t like it. Sure, I’m one of those people. Some things that are not rock or metal are labeled as such and it tends to piss people off. However there are some things that can be left alone. I don’t like Disney’s The Jonas Brothers or Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus. Earsucker recently posted a quote from Sixx as he proclaimed that some things that are Labeled as rock are not rock and shouldn’t be. This kind of aggravated me to en …read more
SIXX A.M. Preparing New Album
After great review and popularity Nikki Sixx’s project SIXX A.M. is preparing to make a new album. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m still not feeling the first album, but obviously many people are and as much as I don’t like Nikki Sixx, perhaps he’s spreading a great message in sobriety through his book and band. Maybe, just maybe I need to give this album a good listen and maybe even read The Heroin Diaries.
Speaking of The Heroin Diaries, it is set for a paperback release on October 28th. You can pre-order the book at SwagRox.com.
