Damn You Pearl Jam! You Ruined Bonnaroo For Kanye!

June 26, 2008 by Scott

So Bonnaroo was a hell of a festival this year with all sorts of artists from all aorts of genres. Metal, R&B, Bluegrass, yuo name a genre it was probably there (With the exception of Black Metal). Wish I could have been there..in the heat…and the stink…and all the overpriced vendors. But really…I wish I could have been there.

Pearl Jam’s show ran later than everyone had expected…to include Kanye West. It ran an hour over and ruined everything for Kanye West and people gave him a bad review to which he was furious about. FURIOUS!! Kanye, you need to be mentally “Stronger” and grow up a bit. And as for you Pearl Jam, you late running, show stealers…I don’t know who you guys think you are, having only been around for over 15 years, but you better stop ruining everything for the next guy, damn it!

Daily Dose Pearl Jam - Better Man

June 20, 2008 by Scott

“She lies and says she’s in love with him
Can’t find a better man
She dreams in color, she dreams in red
Can’t find a better man, can’t find a better man”

Pearl Jam - Better Man from Vitalogy

If you read through the lyrics and listen to the song you can pretty much get what this song is about. I think a lot of people can relate in one way or another. Somewhere, sometime in your life you’ve known this girl or guy.

Daily Dose 6/12 Temple Of The Dog | Hunger Strike

June 12, 2008 by Scott

“I don’t mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence.

But I can’t feed on the powerless when my cups already overfilled.” ~ Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike

Temple Of The Dog was a collaboration in tribute to the late singer of Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood by Sound Garden singer Chris Cornell with members of Mother Love Bone and soon to be members of Pearl Jam. Wood died of a Heroin overdose in March of 1990. Andrew Wood was Chris Cornell’s room mate and friend. Soon after, Chris Cornell went back on tour with Soundgarden and started writing songs for what would soon become Temple Of The Dog.

Uncovered | Pearl Jam - Love, Reign O’er Me

June 9, 2008 by Scott

It’s very rare that you hear a band cover another classic bands song and do such an incredible job that you just can not believe your ears. Sure there are a lot of catchy cover songs out there and more often than not bands try to cover fairly easy and radio friendly songs that they know will get air play and will surely set them on their way to instant stardom. We’ve seen it a million times. What’s better is when an established band that obviously doesn’t need the help of a cover song takes it and sings and plays it as their own. Pearl Jam’s cover of The Who’s ‘Love, Reign O’er Me’ for the same titled movie about a man (Played by Adam Sandler) who loses his family in one of the 9/11 planes, is an amazing cover. If you haven’t heard the cover, you can now. If you haven’t seen the movie I highly suggest renting it. Enjoy the song and video.
