2007 Grammy’s Were Designed For Led Zeppelin

Todd Martens of the L.A. Times reported that even though the 2007 (50th Anniversary) Grammy’s opened with Alicia Keys performing Frank Senatra, it has been said that the Grammy’s were designed around hopes that the recently reunited Led Zeppelin (when they played a few weeks before, for the one off show) would open the historic show.

Plant Weighs In On Weeded Zeppelin Tour

zumawirewestphotos468688-20080927-jab Robert Plant has made a statement concerning his non participation in the possible upcoming tour that his former Led Zeppelin band mates may be embarking on. Plant has stressed that he doesn’t want to do a full scale tour and it just seems that some people can’t stop beating a dead horse. Here is what Plant had to say from Manicnirvana.com:

“In January, I’m starting to record a new album with Alison Krauss and T Bone Burnett,” he revealed, before adding “but I understand that everyone’s got to eat,” implying that the Plant-less Led Zep has his blessing.

But before he joined the Big Town Playboys on stage for a couple of bluesy numbers, he imparted one piece of significant information: “They won’t be calling it Led Zeppelin!

So there you have it…now leave the dude alone.

Led Zeppelin. What can you really say about them that hasn’t already been said a million times. Their history is self explanatory and their legend will live on forever with or without a reunion tour. Without Robert Plant it wouldn’t really be reunion tour, or much of a Led Zeppelin tour at all for that matter.

Robert Plant Shoots Down Led Zeppelin Tour Rumors

Robert Plant_nc Rumors were flying all over the place last week that British rock legends, Led Zeppelin were back with front-man Robert Plant and planning a world tour. I was skeptical from the get-go. Seriously, how many times in the past year have we heard this and how many times has Robert Plant set the record straight. Well let’s just add one more time to that list. Plant will be finishing up his tour with Alison Krauss on October 5th and an official statement left at Robertplant.com reads as follows:

After those dates, Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets.
