Sugar Red Drive has released their self-titled debut via Sugarbear Records. Hailing from Poughkeepsie, NY, Sugar Red Drive consists of Archit Tripathi (Vocals), Jim Knauss (Guitars), Davey Alexander (Bass), and P.J. Gasperini (Drums). Influenced by bands like Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Led Zeppelin, Sugar Red Drive bring a strong alternative sound with infectious rock and earnest, sincere songcraft. Album single “One More Time” features churning riffage and snarling lead vocals. Billboard Magazine claims,

For a long time I have had a love/hate relationship with Scott Weiland. Not like a real, personal relationship but like as a fan and music lover. Scott Weiland’s sobriety, for once is not the issue of the news. This time the former Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots front-man has teamed with designer Christopher Wicks to start a men’s clothing line.
Christopher Wicks, who owns and designs for his company, English Laundry said, “I have the utmost respect for Scott Weiland, both as an artist and as a designer, he is truly one of the last great rock stars, and his impact on style and music is undeniable. Amongst the plethora of Guns N Roses Chinese Democracy news and former band members kissing Axl’s corn-row braided ass hairs, hoping for a Guns N Roses Reunion, there is actually some non GNR news!
Bret Michaels of Poison is writing a biography about himself. He says the title is still a working progress but right now it’s just called “The Brett Michaels Story“. Scott Weiland Releasing Another Solo Album

Billboard.com reports that Scott Weiland will be releasing a new solo album in November titled “Happy“
Scott Weiland’s second solo album, “Happy,” will arrive Nov. 18 via his own Softdrive label. The set was co-produced by Weiland and Doug Grean, with Steve Albini also engineering a handful of songs.
“Happy” boasts guest appearances from three members of No Doubt: Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young.

No, I’m not dead. I’ve been on vacation. I wanted to do some updates but was busy with a lot of other activities with the family and Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest in VA Beach on Friday. Here’ is what happened in rock news over the weekend and I’ll be updating through out the day.
Lallapalooza turned in to Rage-apallooza when all hell broke loose during Rage Against The Machine’s set. A bunch of people were taken to the hospital and there was word that some people were intentionally hurting other people and stopping them from exiting.
