Today, Dennis Miller played host to Ted Nugent on his show. Of course Ted was there to be the douche bag that he is and promote is book and spout off about how much of a patriot he is, about shooting and eating animals and about shooting Mexicans crossing in to U.S. borders. The show aired at 11:20 and I didn’t bother to listen. Seriously, do we need to hear anything more from Ted Nugent?

Upon reading a comment from a reader yesterday (Thanks), informing me that Ted dodged the draft during the Viet-Nam war, I looked in to it to find out what he really did. It is said that he stopped performing any personal hygiene weeks before attending his draft physical and even stopped using the bathroom and urinated and defecated in his pants. He claims that this statement was made up for an interview in High Times Magazine. Who the hell makes up draft dodging stories? He also claimed he was attending college and got a year deferment. He then claims he felt guilty for not serving in Viet Nam and made USO trips to Iraq and Afghanistan. Yeah, that makes up for it. Bill Clinton made up for it by being President Of The United States for 8 years and our economy was great, so you going to play a few shows for the REAL Patriots is not really making up for it. In the mean time, your buddy “W” has dug us into a ravine called recession.

Ted Nugent has a book that came out last Tuesday. It’s called Ted, White, And Blue. I admire some of the things The ‘Nuge says because he speaks his mind…but this is a crazy man. You can say whatever you feel, just think about what exactly your saying.

Popeater.com (which should be called “poopeater”) posted a few things that Ted said in regards to what he would do if he were in charge. I’ve thrown in my two cents.

Glenn Beck…what can I say about this dude? He’s not a rock star…but he’s a thinker. I’m tired of hearing the damn CNN commercials where he goes through his whole thing about being a thinker. Think about this, Glenn: You may be a thinker and have some good ideas…but I THINK you’re an ass! Acting like you’re some super smart, know all, perfect human being. Screw you!

Ted Nugent has never been one to beat around the bush so why should he stop now. Honestly I respect the man for the way he is willing and quick to speak his mind, but sometimes he’s a bit too blunt about things. Old Uncle Ted was on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations show on The Travel Channel where he was exploring the elements of Southwestern cuisine and stopped by Ted Nugents ranch in Texas. Anthony and Ted were speaking on many things to include Obesity. The Nuge’ said “Obesity is a manifestation of a cultural depravation in its most vulgar and displeasing-to-look-at form. And it’s suicide as a lifestyle.” Nugent also added “It all comes back to the horror, the soullessness of a trend in America that is the abandonment of parenting. Somebody’s got to go, ‘You can’t eat that. You’re way too fat.‘”

While I can understand what Ted is saying, Obesity is more than just an image issue. The last part of his statement is true that it may lead to certain and early death, but I think someone needs to give this guy a lesson in tact.
