In the mid 90’s and around the time Guns N’ Roses Spaghetti Incident came out there was a huge controversial t-shirt on the market with the face of Charles Manson on the front and the infamous line from the movie Apocalypse Now! “Charlie Don’t Surf”. The Mifits have been one of my favorite bands since the mid 90’s when a friend of mine introduced me to them. I didn’t really get into them until I saw them live with Michael Graves singing in 1996 and then from there it snow-balled into almost an obsession. Buying up anything and everything I could find that had to do with The Misfits. Personally I like the old Misfits, but Graves did a good job on American Psycho and this facade that Jerry Only is putting on these days falls short.

Guns N Roses Estranged is probably one of the most under-rated songs on Use Your Illusion 2. Of all the great songs on Use Your Illusion 2 this is probably my favorite and it’s really hard to choose because of the number of amazing songs on this album. It’s a shame that this was their last great release before disbanding. The Spaghetti Incident while pretty cool in it’s own right, was nothing more than a bunch of studio cover songs and did not ever meat the expectations of G N’ R fans.
