The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards air Sunday night (January 31st) at 8:00 pm with several great performances. The classic “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” will be sung by Mary J. Blige and opera’s Andrea Bocelli to help with the Haiti relief efforts (you can purchase the song on iTunes and all proceeds will go to Haiti). Also performing are the Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, the Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, Maxwell, P!nk, and the Zac Brown Band.

U2 Highest-Grossing North American Tour of 2002

Somehow I’m not surprised! U2 managed to rack up the highest-grossing North American tour of 2009. In just 20 days on the road during their 360 tour, they pulled in $123 million at the box office. The band visited 16 cities, sold more than 1.3 million tickets.
Unfortunately, in other news, “Spider-Man, Turn off the Dark,” the $50 million Broadway musical by Bono and The Edge, has been delayed until fall 2010.
The show, the most expensive in Broadway history, was supposed to open in March at the Hilton Theater but production halted when they ran out of funds. …read more

U2 Releases Rare Video Footage From The Unforgettable Fire

With the re-release of U2’s fourth album, The Unforgettable Fire, the group has decided to share rarely seen before seen video footage with their fans. The video showcases frontman Bono speaking on the recording process of the breakthrough album and flashes back to some of the most historical songs ever written.

On October 29th and 30th, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a pair of star-studded shows at Madison Square Garden. The likes of U2, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Metallica will all perform sets over the course of the two-night stand.
All of these performers are also inductees into the hall with several of the shows featuring guest performances by many collaborating musicians. U2 video for “I’ll Go Crazy If I don’t Go Crazy Tonight”

U2 have revealed the video for the third single of off their No Line on the Horizon album. The video features some incredible animation while the band itself does not actually appear. The video’s animation comes courtesy of David O’Reilly, who’s previous work includes Son of Rambow and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. As it is explained on the official U2 YouTube page, the characters in the video realize they are living empty lives and all “decide to make changes in their lives”.
