The Gravel Report 8/4

No, I’m not dead. I’ve been on vacation. I wanted to do some updates but was busy with a lot of other activities with the family and Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest in VA Beach on Friday. Here’ is what happened in rock news over the weekend and I’ll be updating through out the day.

Lallapalooza turned in to Rage-apallooza when all hell broke loose during Rage Against The Machine’s set. A bunch of people were taken to the hospital and there was word that some people were intentionally hurting other people and stopping them from exiting.

An inebriated Scott Weiland (Nothing new) stumbled and slurred and even fell into Eric Kretz drum kit during a Stone Temple Pilot’s show in Pheonix Arizona last Tuesday. I bet the Deleo brothers are so happy they made this possible for everyone.

Velvet Revolver have high hopes that they have found a replacement for the previously mentioned vocalist. No names have been said yet but it’s been rumored that it’s a ‘big name’…maybe it’s Axl!!!! Yeah, right.

Poison’s Rikki Rocket told Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot to ‘STFU’ in reply to a comment thet Elliot made awhile back that bands like poison concentrated too much on the look as opposed to the music. IN reply to both of them I say this….Joe, get some botox and Rikki…less botox. You can’t look 12 for the rest of your life.
