If you’re big into reggae then you know this song from Boney M. I’m not into reggae and the only reason I know who the original is from is because if Wikipedia. Sublime do a beautiful version of Boney M.’s Rivers Of Babylon. If you like the original you, you may like Sublime’s version. It’s a kind of live version, unplugged. Sublime covered so much ground, musically. Otis Redding, The Grateful Dead, Bad Religion, just to name a few. They were an amazing band.
Even though I’m not into reggae there is one thing that con not be denied and that is so much heart and feeling that is put into it. Well, put into it when it was more of a lifestyle like the hippies in the 70’s. These days it’s more of a market as a lot of popular music is, but enough of my B.S. Listen to the original, listen to Sublime’s version and most importantly, take it in and enjoy the music.
